Did I mention we are raising three girls?
Two of which are teenagers.
This isn't going to be a lengthy post. I am simply going to share a link to a message series from Andy Stanley we heard last year.

This whole series is powerful, challenging and encouraging.
As a parent, and a married person, you may look at this and think "what's in it for me"...... just hang on...
A few years ago, some of the best parental advice on dating was given to me..... are you ready for this???
A wise couple we look up to said..."We always taught our children that it was normal and ok to be attracted to the opposite sex, that is the way God designed us. It's what they do with that attraction we want to talk to and guide them about."......
why was this so mind blowing to me, you ask??? because, that's not the way many of us were raised. Sometime, as parents, we would just like to ignore the fact our children are going to grow up. Or at least I did.
For any parent out there who have children approaching those teenage years, don't be like I was a few years ago, and just "hope" my children won't be attracted to the opposite sex until they are ready to get married. Seriously, it's going to happen. It's the way God designed us. Don't fight it.....roll with it.
Be honest with your self. Do you remember your dating years?? Don't think your child is not going to feel the same you felt.
Don't NOT talk about it in hopes that NOT talking about it will make it disappear.
Talk to your kids, and if you need help....watch this link with them and it can be your ice breaker to the convo after :)
