Last night was my baby's kindergarten graduation.......

I look pretty together here, but earlier in the day I looked like this.......

Need I say more...... it was a bittersweet day!

Prior to the graduation we had family over for an early dinner to celebrate! Tim's parent's gave Elizabeth a gift and when she opened it, I heard her squeal...." OH, THESE ARE SOOOOO CUTE!"...............................

Flip Flops that glow....BRIGHTLY!

She knew she couldn't wear them to the graduation, so she took them to the car to slip on right after it was over with! This early am, when the house was quiet, you know, the quiet before all the children wake, I heard, clip clop clippity clop! This is what greeted me......

Except she was smiling, when I grabbed my camera it was more like "get that camera out of my face!"...... She couldn't wait to put them on! She said "I love these so much, when I grow out of them I am NOT giving them to Haley (Haley gets the hand-me-downs from us) , I am going to keep them!"

Coupon Monday and a few others.....

I have been a busy little bee this morning trying to get these "oh so CUTE" pictures you all have sent in for our "Cutest Kid Contest"! I promise, the ones that have been sent in WILL post today, but for now I will leave you with Coupon Monday and a few pictures from our weekend....


It started out with Elizabeth's End of Year Splash Party....

GATHER THE EGGS!





This was taken early Saturday morning when we discovered these Hens like to "lay" in the afternoon...hence the empty basket and the disappointed face!




We spent the WHOLE Saturday doing this......



On our way to visit the cousins, we stopped in Ozark (hometown) to drive the girls by the house I grew up in, sorry no pics, didn't think about taking out the camera!

As we were driving back to Hwy 231, we drove by the Red Barn Yard Sale, which has been around for so long, I remember going as a child. In fact, I still have things I bought there before Tim and I got married, like the old trunk I purchased below for a coffee table 12 years ago for $10......



We hit the jack pot and arrived at 1:50pm when they were closing down for the day. Saturday was to be there last day until October, so I received everything at 1/2 off.......

I purchased several needed things like, an omelet maker, framed bulletin board, bags and bags of moss and then my most favorite.....



This precious pair of bird salt and pepper shaker....the best part 50 cents! Along with these enamel cups and ladle for 25 cents each!



These things make me smile :)

Lucas just won the boy's division "Cutest Kid Contest" this past weekend at the Babypalooza event in the Civic Center. He came to pick out an outfit for a photo shoot with Wiregrass Parenting Magazine.....So look for him soon in the next issue!

on a more silly note (and because I have laughed all day over this!) , I will share a funny. Last night Jillian lost her 12th tooth. As she went to go check out the damage (aka: blood) in the mirror, I could see Elizabeth's thought process as she ran as fast as she could to me and asked " do you have any money?" , "can I be the one to put the money under the pillow?". Ok, I interrupt this story just to say, yes, my children know the Tooth Fairy, Santa, and the Eater Bunny are not real. They do not share that info with your children to spoil it so no worries. We do give Money, Presents and Fill their baskets, they just know that we are the real source behind those things. I said yes to all, knowing I actually DID have some cash in my wallet (you see in our house the tooth fairy sometimes has had to leave some IOU's!). Every time, Jillian left the room, she would give me a look like "NOW???". FINALLY, when it became time, we snuck out and I unzipped my wallet only to discover I ONLY HAD TWENTIES!!!! I proceeded to break the news to Elizabeth. As I whispered " OH NO! I don't have anything!" to her response..... Whispering....."c.r.e.d.i.t. c.a.r.d.s"........ She was SO SERIOUS too!
